Xicen S&T Innovation Center is the "one piece" of Qingpu within the "One Hall and Three Pieces" of the YRD Integration Demonstration Zone's Pioneering Start-up Area. It is located in Jinze Town, Qingpu District, on the development axis of the Shanghai-Huzhou area of the Demonstration Zone.It is 38 kilometers east of the Hongqiao Hub, 4 kilometers west of the Water Town Living Room, adjacent to the G50 Yangtze River Delta Digital Main Line, Metro Line 17 (the under-construction Xicen Station), and the Shanghai-Suzhou-Jiaxing Intercity Line in the north, and connected to the Blue Pearl Chain of the North Cross Harbor in the south. Inside the project, the harbors are interconnected and the harbors and forests coexist, with superior green natural resources of water towns. The total area is about 409 hectares and is divided into two areas, the east and the west. The east area is the Huawei Qingpu R & D Center, and the west area is the Xicen Science and Technology Innovation Park, covering an area of about 226 hectares with a total construction area of about 2.76 million square meters.
Xicen S&T Innovation Park focuses on fostering sci-tech innovation and facilitating cross-regional collaboration in industrial innovation. It leverages its unique location, green ecology, leading industrial position, scenario application capabilities, and comprehensive support services to enhance the delivery of facilities for R&D innovation, technology transformation, functional headquarters, commerce and residence. With the ambition of becoming a "world-class sci-tech innovation town," it aims to establish a future-oriented carbon-neutral practice area, cultivate a highland of scientific and technological innovation that attracts top global talent, and exemplify the Jiangnan model of a world-class waterfront town.
The Park focuses on subdivided fields such as integrated circuit design, artificial intelligence research and development, green and low-carbon technologies and services. With the aim to create a core functional area along the YRD digital main line, it aspires to become a birthplace for new quality productive forces to deeply integrate the innovation, industry, talent, and capital chains; an exemplary zone for cross-regional sci-tech and industrial innovation co-invested, co-built and shared by regional stakeholders; a world-class sci-tech innovation town with significant influence and outreach, and a vivid example that embodies the concept of “clear waters and green mountains are invaluable assets”.
